Sharhonda Robinson-Edwards is a litigator and trial Associate in the firm’s South Florida office. She specializes in and concentrates her practice on defending commercial litigation and general liability insurance defense cases for national retailers and multinational hospitality industry clients. She has extensive experience representing insurers through all phases of litigation on matters involving premise liability, personal injury, wrongful death, negligent security and commercial litigation.
She is licensed to practice in the State of Florida, the Southern District of Florida, the Middle District of Florida, the State of California and the District of Columbia. Sharhonda is also a Florida Supreme Court Qualified Arbitrator. She began her career as an attorney practicing business transactional law with a focus on business entity formation and joint ventures for international clients. Her litigation practice began with PIP (personal injury protection), SIU insurance, and Examination Under Oath defense and continued to expand. With over 19 years of legal experience with private firms, court systems, and other corporate entities, Sharhonda has handled diverse litigation and transactional cases in personal injury, insurance services, commercial law, business entity formation, contract law, family law, probate, Title Nine, consumer law, and real estate transactions.
Sharhonda received her Juris Doctor, from Nova Southeastern University’s, Shepard Broad Law Center with a specialization in International Law while jointly obtaining a Masters in International Business Administration from their Huizenga College of Business. While in law school, Sharhonda served as a staff member on the International Citator Journal (an international and comparative law research guide). Sharhonda earned her BA degree from Howard University in Economics with a minor in Japanese and Business.
Sharhonda is engaged in the community through various organizations including the TJ Reddick Bar Association, Broward County Bar Association, Florida Association for Women Lawyers and her sorority, Broward County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
