MSZLM’s participates in Adopt-a-Family for the Holidays Program

Dec 23, 2019 - About the Firm by

Many of the attorneys at the firm participated once again this year in the Camden County Bar Foundation’s Adopt-a-Family For the Holidays Program.

This is a wonderful program administered in conjunction with St. Joseph’s Pro Cathedral Church School in Camden.  The church assigns needy families whose income is at or below the poverty level to law firms in the area so we can give them a helping hand during the holidays.   The program gives assistance to families with the greatest need, regardless of religion.  For more than the past 15 years, attorneys in our Philadelphia and Cherry Hill, NJ offices adopt at least two families in need and provide them with all the fixings for a full holiday dinner, including turkey with all of the fixings and lots of goodies for desert, as well as extra food to help families in need celebrate the holiday season.  The program provides us with the number of children in each family along with their ages and gender and their wish list for presents.  A photo of the presents we set up for one family is attached above.  We also provided our  families with plenty of wrapping paper, gift tags, bows and scotch tape so that the parents can wrap the presents for the children.  Drop off took place on Friday morning before Christmas at the church and to see it all come together during the  drop off for over 100 families this year was truly inspiring.  We plan on keeping this tradition going in the years to come.
