Stephen Ledva, Jr. was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Science. Mr. Ledva then worked in the insurance industry as a claims adjuster. He then returned to the University of Dayton and received his Law Degree. Mr. Ledva went on to become trial counsel with the in-house counsel staff of a major insurance carrier developing both Civil and Workers’ Compensation expertise, which he has maintained.
Medicare Compliance, particularly in Workers’ Compensation matters, is an area that Mr. Ledva lectures on extensively as it has become more predominate.
In over 30 years of trial practice, Mr. Ledva has tried numerous civil cases and taken hundreds of Workers’ Compensation cases to Decision. He regularly counsels employers and self-insureds on Workers’ Compensation and Employment matters.
For over 15 years, Mr. Ledva has been panel counsel to the Grocer’s Manufacturers Association (and its predecessor, the NFPA) and their members. He is also a former appointed member of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Continuing Legal Education Board. He regularly serves as a Settlement Master (Mediator).
Mr. Ledva is active in his community through pro bono representation of the elderly and veterans, coaching CYO football (line and defense) and a member of Friends for Friends.
