Howard Rabin - Senior Counsel
Biography
Mr. Rabin has extensive experience working with Lloyd’s and London Market Insurers, specializing in asbestos-related issues, health hazards, and other long-tail losses. His professional focus has been on mitigating direct long-tail liabilities and litigating mass tort claims throughout the United States. More recently, as coverage counsel for domestic carriers, he has concentrated on first-party claims, business interruption, fraud, marine and cargo disputes, construction accidents, and various other coverage issues.
He has appeared in the New York Supreme Courts for Westchester, Nassau, and Suffolk Counties, as well as in all five boroughs of New York City and New Jersey State Courts from Hudson to Camden. Mr. Rabin has presented briefs and argued appeals before both the New York First Department and the New Jersey Appellate Division.
In his most recent legal practice, Mr. Rabin has been dedicated to assisting individuals and business proprietors in safeguarding their assets and resolving disputes related to business partnerships. Over the past decade, he has litigated issues concerning partnership agreements, powers of attorney, trust, and wills, particularly in the context of breaches of loyalty or fiduciary duty.
Throughout his career, Mr. Rabin has represented franchisees, Fortune 500 corporations, major insurance companies, and individual business owners in diverse litigation matters. He has maintained his status as a licensed attorney since 1987 and is admitted to practice in the state bars of New York and New Jersey, as well as in the federal U.S. District Courts of New Jersey and the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
