    Notable Cases

Ms. Engle served as co-counsel for a Pennsylvania police department and thirteen individual police officers in the longest civil trial in the history of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, which lasted over seven months.  During that trial, she had the opportunity to work with, and ultimately put on the stand, a number of nationally known experts.  Ultimately, eleven of the officers were dismissed from the case on qualified immunity, and the remainder of the case was settled.

Ms. Engle successfully defended a national food manufacturer in a products liability claim in Montgomery County, where Plaintiff alleged that the canned apricots he was eating were defective for containing a pit that caused him dental injury.

Ms. Engle has received two defense verdicts on behalf of a large grocery chain in Philadelphia County, both times arguing notice as a defense to liability.

Ms. Engle has tried more than a dozen motor vehicle cases to defense verdict in Philadelphia County.  On a number of those occasions, liability was admitted, and causation contested.
