Jim Murray joined MSZL&M in 2017 and focuses his practice on aggressively defending individual and corporate clients in all aspects of litigation and alternative dispute resolution proceedings. Before joining the firm, Mr. Murray was an associate at a mid-sized law firm in Philadelphia where he focused his practice on insurance defense. Mr. Murray also has extensive experience practicing in the areas of commercial real estate and criminal defense law, handling a wide range of matters from closing complex, multi-billion-dollar commercial real estate deals to defending capital homicide cases.
Mr. Murray graduated from the Pennsylvania State University’s Smeal College of Business with a B.S. in Economics and impressively earned his J.D. from the University of Dayton in just two years. He serves on the Board of Directors for The ARC of Delaware County and The ARC Community Trust of Pennsylvania, volunteers with Wills for Heroes and serves as an Arbitrator for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
Born and raised in Delaware County, Mr. Murray recently returned to his hometown of Havertown, Pennsylvania. In his free time, Mr. Murray enjoys what he jokingly refers to as “attempting to” golf, traveling and watching sports.
