Dan Tomassetti was born in Washington, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Wheeling College in 1982. He graduated from the University of Tulsa School of Law in 1986, serving as a member of the law review. Dan has been a litigation and trial attorney in West Virginia for over 30 years and for over 25 years in Ohio.
Dan has devoted most of his practice defending litigation against corporations and individuals, with an emphasis on defending injury actions and commercial disputes. Dan has tried multiple cases in West Virginia and Ohio, including lawsuits against HMO’s, as well as individual defendants. Dan has also represented oil and gas companies, steel and coal companies and governmental entities. In addition to civil litigation, Dan has extensive experience defending West Virginia worker’s compensation claims on behalf of steel and coal companies.
In addition to practicing law, Dan is a board member of Family Connections, a West Virginia mental health provider. He has also been a member of the West Virginia Manufacturers’ Association.
