Dan was the first attorney in New York to bring a successful RICO action on behalf of an out-of-state cannabis company – in a direct claim based on fraud against a nationwide law firm, its managing partner, and a nationwide financial network following an entirely self-directed and intensive nationwide investigation – while he was a solo practitioner. His work on that case was replicated and formed the basis of numerous subsequent identical actions brought by large commercial litigation firms.
