Alan Bulnes is a trial attorney in our Tampa, Florida, office. He brings over ten years of legal experience to our firm, having served as first or second chair trial counsel in over twenty six cases spanning both criminal and civil matters. His practice is currently concentrated in the field of civil litigation, focusing mainly on defense of corporations and entities in premises liability matters including negligent security actions, as well as automobile accidents, real estate professional negligence, property damage claims, contract disputes and medical malpractice actions. His practice includes handling wrongful death and serious bodily injury cases such as claims of traumatic brain injury. As a trial attorney with our office, his last jury trial wherein he served as second chair counsel resulted in a zero verdict in favor of one of our many clients.
While in law school, he was certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Certified Legal Intern for the Pinellas County State Attorney’s Office where he participated in prosecution of four trials including felony matters. Upon graduation, he practiced as a criminal defense attorney for the Public Defender’s Office in Pinellas County and in the private sector, representing the accused in traffic, misdemeanor and felony matters. Prior to joining our firm, he practiced as both an insurance defense counsel and in commercial litigation as a trial attorney handling automobile accidents, premises liability claims and various civil litigation matters.
Mr. Bulnes received a B.S. in political science from Florida State University in 2002 and his J.D. from Stetson University College in 2006. He is a member of the Florida Bar and the United States District Court Middle District of Florida. He is also a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, Florida State Alumni Association and Seminoles Booster Club.
In his spare time, Mr. Bulnes enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, family, and friends, supporting and attending various Florida State University athletic events, and supporting and attending the local bay area teams including the Tampa Bay Rays, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tampa Bay Lightning. He is also an active member of the Krewe of the Knights of Sant Yago, an organization dedicated to preservation of Tampa Bay’s Latin heritage.
