Jeffrey C. Sotland
Jeffrey C. Sotland was born in Suffern, New York. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Blackburn University and his Law Degree from the Dickinson School of Law of The Pennsylvania State University in 1993.
Mr. Sotland was hired as an associate in 1995. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He has been admitted to, and litigated cases in several states across the country.
Mr. Sotland was a Contributing Editor to the Defense Research Institute Daubert Compendium. He has lectured throughout the region on legal issues surrounding the motor vehicle dealership industry. Mr. Sotland also specializes in the defense of professional liability claims against architects and engineers. Mr. Sotland counsels motor vehicle dealerships on issues involving risk management, consumer financing, consumer fraud, in compliance with state regulations. He has also reported decisions in the NASP Subrogator (National Association of Subrogation Professionals) and the National Products Liability Database Report.
Mr. Sotland practices in the areas of Motor Vehicle Dealership Litigation, Motor Vehicle Warranty and Product Liability, Motorcycle Claims, Catastrophic Injury Claims and Subrogation. In addition to his casualty experience, he has handled several multi-million dollar fire loss cases, representing both Plaintiff and Defendant. He also has been lead counsel in several Class Action cases addressing the Truth-in-Lending Act, Regulation Z and similar state consumer fraud statutes. He serves as national counsel for several clients in the area of property subrogation. |
