Joel L. Roth Joel L. Roth is a native New Yorker and was born in Manhattan, New York. Mr. Roth attended the University of Florida where he earned his under graduate degree in Political Science in 1981. Mr. Roth then attended Nova University Law Center where he earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 1983. While attending Nova University Law Center Mr. Roth was on the Dean's List and was awarded the American Jurist Prudence Book Award in Securities Regulations. Mr. Roth spent his early career learning his trade working in Miami, Ft Lauderdale and West Palm Beach for several of the area's top firms practicing in the areas of Construction Defects, Products Liability, Securities Litigation, and Commercial Litigation. Mr. Roth then opened his own practice in Boca Raton where he concentrated on handling Personal Injury Litigation. For the last ten years, prior to joining Mintzer Sarowitz Zeris Ledva & Meyers, Mr. Roth was a senior staff attorney with Travelers Insurance Company working in their Ft Lauderdale office. During his time with Travelers Mr. Roth was the head of their large loss Subrogation recovery unit and successfully handled and tried many large loss Subrogation cases all over the State of Florida. While with Travelers Mr. Roth also handled the defense of many large loss Construction Defect cases as well as Personal Injury cases. Mr. Roth is also very experienced in handling and trying fire origin cause cases. While with Travelers Mr. Roth also participated in special legal research projects and participated in training and education seminars for the Company. In the fall of 2008, Mr. Roth attended a NITA trial advocacy training seminar in which he was awarded the Outstanding Advocate Award for being the most outstanding trial attorney at the seminar. Mr. Roth is also admitted to practice in the Southern, Middle and Northern Federal District Courts in Florida. Mr. Roth is now a very experienced and polished civil litigation and trial attorney. In his spare time Mr. Roth enjoys restoring classic cars and is the owner of a 1966 Chevrolet Corvair Corsa Convertible which he restores and drives regularly and which was awarded a Senior Gold Award at the Corvair National Convention in 2009. |
