Keadle Mason Jennifer Keadle Mason was born in Staunton, Virginia. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Richmond in 1990 and her Law Degree from West Virginia University in 1994. Her present concentration is in the areas of catastrophic loss and E-Discovery or the discovery of electronically stored information. She and this firm are current members of the Sedona Conference and Working Group 1 on E-Discovery. She is also a current member of the ABA and DRI Technology Committees. Mrs. Mason has provided educational programs and presentations on E-Discovery to numerous insurance carriers and clients. Services related to this area include consultations with clients and carriers regarding the retention of electronically stored information, litigation holds, and proportionality arguments related to the same. Her focus is in the area of proportionality because the burden of E-Discovery will often far outweigh the value of information received. She has argued and submitted motions in many cases seeking to limit or eliminate the need for preservation efforts. Prior to practicing law, Mrs. Mason worked for two insurance companies, State Farm and Oak Casualty. She was a BI/PD adjuster for three years and later represented clients on behalf of these carriers. Mrs. Mason is a member of the American Bar Association. She was a Commissioner of the Wheeling Human Rights Commission, a representative for the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division District 18 from WV and Ohio, a past member of the Board of Governors for the West Virginia State Bar, Past-Chair of the Young Lawyers Division of the West Virginia State Bar and past Member of U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, WV Advisory Board. She was also a board member to local not for profit organizations helping abused and neglected children: Court Appointed Special Advocates, Harmony House Child Advocacy Center, and Children’s Home of Wheeling. Mrs. Mason was admitted to the United States Supreme Court in June 2008 and is also admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Pennsylvania and West Virginia. She practices in the areas of General Liability Defense, Commercial Liability, Medical Malpractice, Products Liability, Coverage Litigation, Personal Injury Defense and Catastrophic Losses due to fire. Ms. Mason manages the Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia office, located in Pittsburgh, PA and Wheeling, WV. |
