Kevin L.
Kelly graduated cum laude in 1970 from St. Michael's College in Vermont.
Following graduation, he served in the United States Air Force with the
463rd Tactical Airlift Wing at Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, Texas. After
receiving an Honorable Discharge with the rank of Captain in 1974, Mr. Kelly
received his Law Degree from Rutgers University Law School in 1977.
Mr. Kelly served as the law clerk to the Honorable Lawrence A. Bilder,
Superior Court, Law Division, Hudson County, NJ. He then entered private
practice and began a legal career focusing on Insurance Defense trial
practice. Mr. Kelly joined Travelers Insurance Company in 1982, where he
continued to practice Insurance Defense Litigation.
Mr. Kelly has held several positions in the field of Insurance Defense,
including senior litigator representing Atlantic Mutual insureds, Managing
Attorney for Fireman's Fund Insurance, and Managing Attorney for Crum &
Forster. He also practiced under the firm name of Kelly & McGynn until he
became a Vice President and Attorney of Record for Empire Insurance Company.
Mr. Kelly joined Mintzer Sarowitz Zeris Ledva and Meyers in April 2000.
Mr. Kelly is admitted to the state court of New Jersey and New York. He
focuses his practice in the areas of Motor Vehicle Liability, Premises and
Workplace Liability, Environmental Claims, Professional Liability and
Trucking Litigation.
