David M. Fernandez
David M. Fernandez was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, and earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Florida. After his admission to The Florida Bar in 1985, Mr. Fernandez was an Assistant State Attorney for Hillsborough County for 4 years. During his employment with the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office, Mr. Fernandez conducted over twenty jury trials and over a hundred non-jury trials in both County and Circuit Courts. Since leaving the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office, Mr. Fernandez has been employed with insurance defense firms in the Tampa Bay area for over 15 years.
As an insurance defense counsel, Mr. Fernandez has handled a general casualty caseload, including automobile, premises, products, medical malpractice and first party insurance claims, from responsive pleading through appeal.
Mr. Fernandez joined the Tampa office of Mintzer, Sarowitz, Zeris, Ledva, and Myers as an associate in 2010. Mr. Fernandez currently practices in the areas of automobile, premises and general liability defense claims.
