Malvina Levin Herschkowitz Malvina Levin Herschkowitz was born is Odessa, Russia. She is fluent in English, Russian and Hebrew. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from the City University of New York at Queens College in Political Science in 1991. In 1988, she interned for then New York State Assemblymen Thomas DiNapoli and Alan Hevesi. She attended Brooklyn Law School and received her Law Degree in 1994. While at Law School, she clerked for Justice Garbriel Krausman, currently of the Second Department and was a Moot Court Finalist. Ms. Herschkowitz worked for a prominent New York City plaintiff’s personal injury firm during College and Law School. After graduating Law School, she joined a prominent New York City Insurance defense firm and has been practicing in the areas of insurance and liability defense since 1994. In that time, she has handled all types of tort defense matters, including products liability, toxic torts, labor law, automobile and premises liability. When not practicing, Ms. Herschkowitz is very active in the PTA in her boys’ elementary school. She has been a member of the Executive Committee for six years. She was President for two years. She is Editor-in-Chief of the school’s award winning newspaper and Chairs the Syosset Council of PTA’s Press Conference Committee. She was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009. Ms. Herschkowitz is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and New Jersey and in the Federal Courts for both the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. |
