E. Laurence Kates
E. Laurence Kates was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Villanova University in 1979. Mr. Kates received his Law Degree from The Widener University School of Law in 1982.
Mr. Kates is admitted to practice in the state courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and Middle District of Pennsylvania. His areas of practice include Motor Vehicle Litigation, Premises Liability, and General Liability Defense. Mr. Kates serves as sole and neutral arbitrator in uninsured/underinsured motorist matters, sole arbitrator and mediator in the Alternate Dispute Resolution forum, and as Judge Pro Tem for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
